ANDREW LESSMAN'S Million ORAC derives its name from the ORAC test, which can measure the anti-oxidant capacity of foods. The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) test was developed to objectively assess anti-oxidant power. It has been scientifically established that consuming foods rich in protective compounds significantly increases the body's ability to protect against free radical damage. As a result of their high content of protective compounds, each ingredient in Million ORAC possesses an ORAC value in excess of 1,000,000 units per 100 grams.
